Featured Artist: Bob Moshier

Bob Moshier, of Greeley Hill in Mariposa County, creates intarsia art pieces using a scrollsaw. According to Wikipedia, intarsia is a woodworking technique that uses varied shapes, sizes and species of wood to create a mosaic-like picture.

Most of Moshier's pieces use all-natural colors.

Select pieces can be seen on the walls at Sweet Temptations Bakery. You can meet Moshier, and see more of his work, during the Merced Art Hop on Saturday, April 17, from 5 to 9 p.m.

Moshier is the father of the bakery's owner, Amanda Bowers.
